About me

I'm a technical artist and gameplay programmer based in Portugal. I work between art and code: character rendering, procedural environments, animation and the tools that make them usable. Founder Engine is where much of my current research comes together.

Art, code and real-time worlds

I enjoy the point where a visual problem becomes an engineering problem. A skin shader can lose complexion detail after scattering; hair can look convincing in a still and break under reconstruction; a terrain material can look like a geometry fault when its mask is simply missing coverage. I build tools that help me inspect those differences, then return to the image to judge the result. My independent work on Founder Engine and TimberGEN sits alongside professional experience in gameplay, narrative systems and agent-based simulation.

The work behind the result

This portfolio includes the work that led to the final image. Alongside selected results, I keep material failures, rendering artifacts, comparisons and unfinished experiments. The process sections explain what I was trying to achieve, what went wrong and what changed. Some problems are still open.
